Verne J. Hill, 68, of Napoleon passed away Monday morning at Northcrest Rehab and Nursing Center in Napoleon. He was born on March 2, 1952 in Napoleon to Donald A. and Bernadine A. (Keller) Hill. In 2017 Verne retired from Campbell’s Soup in Napoleon, after over 20 years in the labeling department.
He is survived by his daughters Stacy (Brandon) Carter of Reno, Nevada, Angelica (Khumi) Sial of Southern California and Nicole Cooper of Napoleon; eight grandchildren Xayden and Xander Sial, Mya and Robert Castillo, Maliki, Aliyah, Paul III, and Si’Miyah Cooper; one great grandchild Ja’Mya Foster; brothers Ben (Susan) Hill of Haskins, Ohio, Don (Linda) Hill of McClure, Ohio and Guy (Kim) Hill of Napoleon; sister-in-law Karen Hill of Adrian, Michigan; and best friend Wayne Barber.
Verne was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Raymond and Bob Hill and sister Wilma Anderson.
A Celebration of Life will be on Sunday, June 28th from 4-6:30pm at Hill’s Family Restaurant in Napoleon. Verne will be laid to rest at Hockman Cemetery in McClure, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Northcrest Activity Fund. The family would like to thank the Northcrest Rehab and Nursing Center for everything they have done for Verne over the past year.
